How to take Control of Your Day

This practice is simple:  

It starts the night before.
As you go to bed, set the intention to have a great day tomorrow.  Do not look ahead and start creating negative pictures.  Create only positive pictures (or no pictures at all) and expect that your day will go well.

When you wake in the morning, before your thoughts start running all over the place, take a moment, put a smile on your face, breathe deep and say “Mmmmmm, today is a great day”  and let the feeling of that settle into your entire body.  (Even if you wake up not feeling well, or wake up to some issue that hits you first thing, still take the time to do this.)

Take this moment to connect with Spirit or your Higher Self and lock it in!  Lock in this time of affirmation and intention about your day.  Realize that the day does not dictate how you feel.  You create the feelings and responses no matter what is happening.

Then do your best to carry that with you all day long.  And if you need to revisit that moment during your day, go right ahead.  

Affirmation – “I choose how I feel about my day and today is a great day”
